Puffy Cheese Borek

Ingredients:

4 fresh pastry leaves
1 ½ cups Dairy Piknik White Cheese, crumbled
½ cup parsley, chopped

For the sauce:

1 cup of Merve plain yogurt
½ cup of Kirlangic sun flower oil
2 eggs
Garnish
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp Basak black caraway seed


1. Preheat oven to 360 F.

2. In a small bowl combine the cheese and the parsley, set aside.

3. In a medium bowl whisk together yogurt, sunflower oil and the eggs just enough to blend, set aside.

4. Spread one pastry leaf on a clean surface, pour ¼ of the yogurt sauce on spread evenly to cover the whole pastry sheet.

5. Spread the second pastry sheet on top , pour ¼ of the yogurt sauce, spread evenly.

6. Add half of the cheese mix, distributing evenly.

7. Fold 1 ½ inches from the edges of the pastry sheets inwards.

8. Roll the sheets to form a log , cut into 2 inch pieces.

9. Place the pieces on a baking paper covered baking tray.

10. Repeat the same with the remaining ingredients.

11. Brush the pastry with egg yolk, sprinkle with caraway seeds,.

12. Bake for 40 minutes.

Serve warm, enjoy!
