Sour Okra



  • 2 glass jars of okra pointed or round
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 tbsp. Olive oil
  • juice of one lemon
  • salt
  • 1 cup of water

Rinse the okra under running cold water, drain and add to the pot.

Add the onion, tomato, lemon juice, olive oil and salt. Add enough water just to cover everything, bring to a boil, simmer on medium-low heat until the onions are cooked.
