Fish Patties

  • 2 bonito, filleted
  • 6 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 4 pearl onions, finely diced
  • ½ bunch of fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ¼ bunch of fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • fresh zest from one lemon
  • 1 tsp Botany curry powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Flora Sunflower oil to fry the patties in (Basak Coating spice mix if baking)

Rinse the fish fillets under running water and drain. Chop the fillets into very small pieces. Combine all the ingredients except the frying oil until mixed completely. Make walnut size balls and shape into patties.

Heat the oil in a large pan, fry the patties on both sides until golden, drain on paper towels and serve.

If you choose instead of frying you can coat the patties with Basak coating spice mix and bake in 375 F oven.
